Mental health might get affected by natural disasters

A study has revealed that natural disasters are directly related to mental health. It shows that suicide rates went up by 23% in the areas where natural disasters had occurred and the researcher firmly believes that these are avoidable with better natural disaster preparedness and response.

People who purchase a firearm during the pandemic are more likely to be suicidal than other firearm owners, according to a study by Rutgers University researchers.

Higher poverty linked to increased youth suicide risk

According to the study, suicide in children under age 20 has been increasing in the US, with rates almost doubling over the last decade. Between 2007 to 2016, nearly 21,000 children ages 5-19 years old died by suicide.
