Tej Bahadur was sacked from the BSF in 2017 after he uploaded a video on social media complaining about the food served to the BSF personnel. Yadav had filed his nomination against Narendra Modi from Varanasi in the Lok Sabha polls but his nomination was rejected.

Sacked BSF jawan and SP candidate Tej Bahadur’s candidature was cancelled from Varanasi which the former paramilitary man termed as discriminatory and unreasonable move.

Later on Wednesday, the EC rejected the nomination papers of Yadav on the ground that the former jawan could not furnish a certificate from the BSF, stating that he was not sacked on charges of corruption or disloyalty to the State.
Yadav, 43, who was sacked from the force in 2017 on charges of indiscipline after complaining in a video about the quality of food served to the troopers, had filed his nomination as an independent candidate last week.

Son of BSF jawan dismissed for complaining about food found dead

The son of BSF trooper Tej Bahadur Yadav, who was dismissed from the force in 2017 for indiscipline, was found dead in Haryana. The body of 22-year-old Rohit was found on Thursday night by his mother in their house in Madhu Vihar colony of Rewari town.
