78-year-old man duped of ₹38 lakh by tenant
A 78-year-old resident of Mumbai was allegedly duped of ₹38 lakh by his tenant, who used forged signatures to transfer the money to his own account. The accused, identified as Hitendra Thakkar, had gained the victim's trust by helping with his financial transactions. The victim discovered the fraud when he noticed changes to his Demat account details. A case has been registered against Thakkar, who has not yet been arrested.

Minor’s body recovered from almirah, accused held
The accused told the police he was aware that the girl’s father had sold a property recently and believed the cash was lying in the house. The accused entered the house and took out ₹20,000 but was seen by the victim girl. Afraid of being identified, he strangled the girl with a rope, wrapped the body in a quilt and placed it in his almirah.

Man held for throttling tenant to death in Gurugram’s Sector 5
