Meet the Muslim professor of Vedas from Gorakhpur’s DDU

With BHU students protesting against the appointment of a Muslim teacher in the Sanskrit department of the University, Ashab Ali's story is not just refreshing but a proof that education has no religion. Ashab Ali was a former Muslim professor of Vedas in Gorakhpur's Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University. He joined DDU in 1977 as an assistant lecturer on an ad hoc basis and retired as head of department (HoD) in 2010. Watch the video to know more.
