Indian forces get boost in Chhattisgarh: 40+ Maoist militants surrender in Sukma

A total of 43 Naxals, including 9 women cadres, surrendered in Chhattisgarh's Sukma. The 43 cadres turned themselves in before senior police and CRPF officials on Wednesday. They cited disappointment with ‘inhuman’ and ‘hollow’ Maoist ideology, said a police official. A militia commander, carrying a reward of 1 lakh, was among those who surrendered. Others were members of the frontal wings of Maoists in different areas of South Bastar. They will be provided facilities as per the Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy of the Chhattisgarh government.
