U.S Navy Chief in India; Maritime security on agenda amid Chinese muscle-flexing

U.S Navy chief Admiral Michael M Gilday is in India on a 5-day visit to discuss maritime security amid Chinese muscle-flexing in Indo-Pacific region. The U.S Naval Chief was received by Chief of Navy Staff Karambir Singh and was accorded a guard of honour in South Block. Both Naval chiefs held one-on-one meeting and discussed wide range of issues including maritime security. The visit coincides with the ongoing Malabar exercises of QUAD grouping. The U.S Navy chief said that his country is committed to operationalising defence partnership with India. He also visited National War Memorial and laid wreath. Watch this report for more.
