Zelensky takes U-turn on election within 24 hours? 'Don't want pressure…' message to Trump | Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine does not need added pressure from allies on holding wartime elections after US President Donald Trump accused him of using the conflict to avoid polls. In a video message following the first Ukraine US meeting on post war recovery, he stressed that security challenges depend on partners while political and legal questions must be resolved by Ukraine. Zelensky highlighted ongoing work on security and reconstruction documents, upcoming talks with European leaders, a new Coalition of the Willing meeting, a planned European sanctions step targeting Russian oil transport and concerns over Russia’s growing dependence on China.
