UN chief condemns Lahore bomb blast

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned the bomb attack that killed at least 40 people in the Pakistani city of Lahore.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned Wednesday the bomb attack that killed at least 40 people in the Pakistani city of Lahore.

"No cause can justify such indiscriminate terrorist violence," Ban said in a statement.

Ban extended his condolences to the families of the victims, the people and government of Pakistan.

News reports said the attack was aimed at the police headquarters in Lahore.
