Cocktail team bowls it out

No sandwich here but a heady cocktail, as actors Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and newbie Diana Penty along with co-producer Dinesh Vijan came to the bluO, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon on Wednesday to promote their latest outing Cocktail.

The movie that releases today, sees Saif playing a lover boy. “I hope I can continue playing a lover boy even when I’m 60 or 70. Love never runs out,” said Saif.

And what’s Deepika’s take on her role? Is it similar to any role she’s essayed earlier? “It’s a lot different, and one of the most challenging roles I’ve been offered till date. Veronica (her character) is feisty, fiery and confident.”

Diana looks strikingly similar to Deepika in the film. When asked about it, she said: “Everybody has been saying I look like her younger sister. Good, isn’t it?”

Not many know that despite being the film’s producer, Saif was not the first choice for the lead. “Another actor who was supposed to do the film, pulled out. Saif then heard the script, and bailed us out,” said Dinesh.
