Dhanush shared the news on his Twitter page on Friday. “It’s final. (I’m) glad to announce that I’m doing a film with Anand L. Rai in 2014, which will be a bilingual and will be produced by Wunderbar films and Anand,” he posted.

The actor, who is currently busy shooting for Tamil comedy Naiyaandi, will begin upcoming untitled Tamil project with director KV Anand soon.

He is also awaiting the release of forthcoming Tamil romantic-drama Mariyaan.

In Raanjhanaa, Dhanush is paired opposite Sonam Kapoor. It also features Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar, Mohammad Zeeshan, Shilpi Marwaha and Suraj Singh.

The film is Anand’s second directorial venture after Tanu Weds Manu, and is slated to release in June.

Talking about his co-star Sonam Kapoor in his Bollywood debut, he said, “I’m closest to Sonam in the industry. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and helped me. She is very straight forward and will tell it as it is, which is something I admire about her.”

Dhanush added that he is glad to have worked with someone like Sonam in his first Hindi film.
