Sleuths from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Chandigarh, arrested DRM office JE Rajinder Kumar red-handed while accepting the bribe from railway contractor Manoj Kumar. Marked currency notes worth Rs 15,000 were also recovered from him. He has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Kumar in his complaint to the CBI said that the engineer was demanding the amount in lieu of a construction contract in the railways and also to clear his pending bills. Sources said that following the complaint a three-member team was constituted. The accused would now be produced in the CBI court in Panchkula on June 14.
