Karnataka: MBA intern found dead in Belagavi PG, police probe underway
Police have not disclosed details regarding the presence of a suicide note or the possible reasons behind her death.
A 24-year-old MBA intern was found dead in her paying guest (PG) accommodation in Belagavi’s Nehru Nagar, police confirmed on Wednesday.

According to news agency ANI, the incident has prompted an ongoing investigation, with forensic analysis underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
Belagavi Police Commissioner Martin Marbaniang stated that the woman's mother had filed a complaint reporting that her daughter had died by suicide, allegedly by hanging herself in her room. “We have registered the case, and the post-mortem is being conducted. Seven items have been seized, and they will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis,” he added.

On Tuesday evening, after finishing work, she returned to her PG, briefly spoke with her roommate, and then went into her room. CCTV footage from the PG captured this moment.
Later that night, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan, following which the authorities were informed. Her body has been sent for a postmortem examination.
