Woman falls to death from high-rise

A 45-year-old Delhi resident fell to death from a 12th floor apartment in DLF City. The woman had come to visit her niece in Silver Oaks apartments on Friday.

A 45-year-old Delhi resident fell to death from a 12th floor apartment in DLF City, on Saturday morning. The woman had come to visit her niece in Silver Oaks apartments on Friday.

Although no suicide note was found, the police are not ruling out suicide, as the deceased was reportedly suffering from depression.

According to the police, Sangita Marwah, a resident of Janakpuri, reportedly jumped to death from her niece Preeti’s apartment around 6 am.

“Preeti told us that her aunt was suffering from depression, and had been on medication, for quite some time. Preeti said that when she awoke at 6am, she saw her aunt sleeping. However, when she came out of the bathroom a while later, she did not find her aunt. A few minutes later, Preeti saw her aunt lying on the ground floor by the side of the building,” said Ghulam Mohammad, SHO of DLF City police station.

The deceased’s husband works with Syndicate Bank as manager and her only son is into business.
