The Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the result of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), or Class 12 board examination on Wednesday. The has been uploaded on the Board’s official website mahresult.nic.in .

Maharashtra HSC result 2018: Highlights

1.43pm: A total of 5374 handicap students appeared in the HSC exams conducted in the month of Feb-March, of which 4932 passed.

1.42pm: According to board chairperson, Shakuntala Kale, girls have outshined boys for the third consecutive year securing a pass percentage of 92.36%.

1.00pm: Maharashtra HSC result 2018 declared

12.30pm: Boys pass percentage: 85.23

12.10pm: Total number of girls registered:633,749, appeared: 633090, passed: 584,692

12.00 noon: Girls performed better than boys securing a pass percentage of 92.36, while 85.23% boys cleared the exam.

11.40am: In the divisional results, Konkan secured the highest pass percentage of 94.85%, followed by Kolhapur with 91%, Pune (89.58%), Aurangabad (88.74%), and Amravati (88.08%). While Mumbai was on 6th position with 87.44%, Nashik had the lowest pass percentage of 86.13%.

11.30am: Of the 14,16,986 students who appeared for the exam, 12, 52,817 students passed.

11.29 am: Class 12 result announced. The pass percentage this year is 88.41.

* Only 25 students were allowed in each exam hall, and the question papers were divided into sets of 25 each so that centre supervisors did not have to open the bundles before they reached the hall.

* This year, the state board hired more flying squads to conduct surprise checks at the centres to curb any form of malpractice during the HSC exams.

* The HSC examinations, which began on February 21 and ended on March 20, were taken by 14,85,000 students, including 834,000 boys and 650,000 girls.
