Aamir Khan confirms he will marry Gauri Spratt on July 5 after two years together: ‘The news about the marriage is true’
Aamir introduced Gauri to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025, making their relationship public for the first time.
Bollywood star Aamir Khan is preparing to begin a new chapter in his personal life. The actor has confirmed that he will marry his longtime partner Gauri Spratt on July 5, 2026, after being together for more than two years. Speaking about the decision, Aamir revealed to Variety India, “The news about the marriage is true. It’s on July 5.”

A simple celebration over a grand spectacle
Unlike many high-profile celebrity weddings, Aamir and Gauri are reportedly opting for a private and meaningful ceremony rather than a lavish event. Filmfare reported that the couple will formalise their relationship through a registered marriage at home, surrounded by their families and a small circle of close friends.
The decision reflects the couple’s preference for keeping their personal life away from unnecessary attention. Instead of a grand reception or extravagant festivities, the focus will reportedly be on spending the day with the people closest to them.
Who is Gauri Spratt?
Originally from Bengaluru, Gauri comes from a professional background in fashion, beauty and wellness. Over the years, she has built a career in the lifestyle and salon industry and currently lives in Mumbai. She is also a mother to a young son. Although many people only became familiar with her after her relationship with Aamir became public, their story actually goes back decades.
The two first met nearly 25 years ago before eventually losing touch. Years later, they reconnected, and what began as a renewed friendship gradually developed into a serious relationship.
Aamir introduced Gauri to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025, making their relationship public for the first time. Since then, the couple has occasionally appeared together at public events while continuing to keep much of their relationship private.
Over the past year, Aamir has spoken openly about the impact Gauri has had on him and the happiness he has found in their relationship.
In an earlier interview, the actor reflected on how fortunate he feels to have met her and how their bond has changed his life. He told Navbharat Times, “I am very fortunate that I met Gauri, and our relationship started together. She is great, I feel at peace with her. Although my relationship with (ex-wives) Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta was also very deep, but things didn't work out. When you asked, I felt that I am very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together. Mujhe lagta hai ab jaake mai mukammal hua hoon (I feel like I am finally complete now).”
A new beginning after two marriages
This will be Aamir’s third marriage. The actor was previously married to Reena Dutta from 1986 to 2002. The former couple share two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The couple announced their separation in 2021 and are parents to their son, Azad Rao Khan.
Despite both marriages ending, Aamir has consistently spoken with warmth and respect about Reena and Kiran. The actor has also maintained close relationships with them and continues to co-parent with mutual understanding and respect.
Looking ahead
Even as Aamir remains occupied with his film commitments and production ventures, the spotlight is currently on this major milestone in his personal life. He was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par.
