Speaking at the ongoing International Film Festival of India in Goa, Pankaj also said that he is willing to work in any language if someone writes a Hindi-speaking character for him.
Asked about working in Hollywood or south film industries, Pankaj said, “While language is not a barrier for me, I prefer Hindi cinema. It's because I am comfortable with Hindi, main uss language ko samajhta hoon, uski bhavnaon ko, nuances ko behtar samajhta hoon (I understand the language better, I understand its emotions and nuances better). Forget Hollywood, I get offers from Telugu and Malayalam filmmakers but I feel I won't be able to do justice to those films because I won't be able to speak the language.” He was seen in a short role in Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction.
"I won't be able to bring out the feeling. Having said that, if someone can write a Hindi-speaking character for me, then I am open to working in any language film." He added that he is working on so many Hindi projects that he has no time to “consider Hollywood or other language films”.
Pankaj Tripathi was recently seen in Srijit Mukherji's Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga which saw a theatrical release earlier this year. Next up, Pankaj has Akshay Kumar's Oh My God! 2 in the pipeline.
