Uorfi Javed apologises for hurting people's sentiments with her clothes, says she will 'change'

Uorfi Javed took to Twitter to apologise for hurting people's sentiments with her outfits. She also added that now people will see a 'changed' version of her.

On Friday, Uorfi Javed announced that she wanted to apologise for hurting everyone's sentiments with her revealing outfits. She went on to say that now people will see a changed Uorfi. While some fans asked what happened, others wondered about the timing of the tweet, a day before April Fool's Day.

The actor and model wrote on Twitter, "I apologise for hurting everyone’s sentiments by wearing what I wear . From now on you guys will see a changed Uorfi . Changed clothes . Maafi (Sorry)."

Fans commented on her tweet and wondered what was happening. One user said, "You wear whatever you like uorfi stay Liberated." While another added, "omg, no no, i Appreciate ur confidence level ." Others thought this to be a prank. One fan shared, "april 1 kal hai." Yet another said, "April fool banaya aisa gaana gaane waale kya aap (Are you going sing April Fool's?).

Shortly after Uorfi's tweet, she was featured in an advertisement for a clothing brand being launched on April 1. Their post was captioned, "'I don't follow trends, I set them!' Snazzy, bold and ultra-unique; an unusual collection is coming your way."

Recently, Kareena Kapoor praised Uorfi's confidence in the outfits that she wears. She told Times Now Digital, "Fashion is all about expression and freedom of speech. I think that the confidence with which she pulls it off, I think she looks really cool and amazing. The fact that she does exactly as she wants, that's what fashion is all about - when you are comfortable in your own skin and do exactly as you, please. I just love the confidence. I am a confident girl so I am all for confidence. I just love her confidence and the way she walks. Hats off." She had added, "I am not as gutsy as Urfi but I feel it's extremely brave and extremely gutsy."

Uorfi responded to Kareena's comment by tweeting and sharing an article talking about Kareena's praise. She wrote, “Whatttttttt, Kareena just said she likes me ??? I’m ded! Bye. I can’t, wow, is this seriously happening?”

Uorfi received the Fashionista of the Year award at the OTTPlay ChangeMakers Awards 2023 on Sunday. She was last seen in the reality TV show MTV Splitsvilla (Season 14).
