Google was kind enough to throw up the poster of the 2009 film, I Hate Valentine’s Day, when we were trying to read up on Puneet Malhotra’s upcoming film I Hate Luv Storys. It’s understandable for the titles to be similar, but why do the posters have to look alike?

The Hollywood film revolves around Genevieve Gernier (Nia Vardalos), who has a strict five-date rule for any man she meets, until she meets the hero, Greg Gatlin (John Corbett), and all her ‘romance’ fundamentals change.

Promos of the Bollywood film hint that Jay Dhingra (Imran Khan) does not believe in lovey-dovey stories and Simran Sharma (Sonam Kapoor) dreams only of the ultimate romance. But when the two meet and the slow sound track begins to play, things change.

Their fans seem least bothered about the film being a copy of the hollywood film or not . They are waiting to see the onscreen chemistry of Imran and Sonam. Even the traders wish to cash in on the hit music and the film’s youthful charms.

I Hate Luv Storys has found an admirer and promoter from within the industry — Salman Khan. As the actor tweeted that he really wants to watch the film. “Wanna c I hate lv stories, imraaaan sho na dude. Seeing promos n loving it, all the best dude, think this I a big 1, happy fr u (sic),” he posted on Twitter, appreciating the promos of the film.
