Actor Aamir Khan called himself ‘fortunate’ that he managed to attend his father Tahir Hussain’s funeral.

Actor Aamir Khan called himself ‘fortunate’ that he managed to attend his father Tahir Hussain’s funeral. He was in the US with wife Kiran Rao to attend the Sundance Film Festival when he came to know about his father’s demise on Tuesday. “It was fortunate that we could reach here just in time as the US is very strict with flight departures,” Aamir said.

Though Bollywood A-listers were not present at the funeral, a fair share of people turned up. Filmmakers Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Kunal Kohli, Rajkumar Hirani, Raj Kumar Santoshi, Ronnie Screwvala, actors Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, Congress MP Priya Dutt and actor Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan were present.
