The 47-year-old actor and producer, famous for his role in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, initially wanted to make his career in music and joined many rock groups after school, reported Contactmusic.
Now the star is ready to combine both his interests as he has reportedly bagged this role, as a Rock ‘n’ Roll artiste in this film.
Depp, in recent months has gone back to his first love, music, as he played with British band Babybird on their recent album. He has also reportedly entered into negotiations to launch his own record label.
Sonny Boy is a narrative of a rocker who scores a hit with an old song and embarks on a mission to find the track’s original writer.
