Lady Gaga bites head off Barbie onstage

In the latest on-stage gimmick, singer Lady Gaga whipped out a Barbie doll - a favourite among young girls - and decapitated it with her mouth, apart from appearing in a blood-splattered T-shirt.

Pop star Lady Gaga seems to be growing more outrageous each day - she bit off the head of a Barbie doll during her performance at Belfast.

In the latest gimmick introduced to her live show Sunday night, the Poker Face hitmaker whipped out the plastic toy - a favourite among young girls - and decapitated it with her mouth, reported MTV online.

Dressed in a PVC bikini and fishnets, topped with bright yellow hair, Gaga also played a burning piano during the show at the city's Odyssey Arena.

Later, the 24-year-old singer, who had an Irish flag on stage, courted further controversy by posting a picture of herself in an I Love Belfast T-shirt which appeared to be splattered in fake blood.

"For Halloween I'm going to be...a little monster!!!! I love you all so much! Celebrate yourself!" she tweeted.
