Vishwanath And Sons first review out: Karthi said Suriya's film left his heart filled with love, revealed he would love to watch it again.
After the success of Karuppu, actor Suriya is back with Vishwanath and Sons. The film released in theatres on August 14. While the audience is yet to share its verdict, actor Karthi has already watched the film and shared his review, praising the writing, performances and overall story.
Karthi reviews Vishwanath and Sons
On Friday, Karthi took to X and shared the poster of the film. He wrote, "#VenkyAtluri what writing man…!! Beautiful characters and stunning performances!! A wholesome film that keeps you smiling throughout and fills your heart with love!! Would love to watch it again….Many Congratulations @vamsi84 for #VishwanathAndSons!!"
He further praised the performances of Suriya, Mamitha Baiju and Radhika Sarathkumar. He wrote, "@Suriya_offl your Class Apart pa just wow!!💥 @_mamithabaiju you were so full of life.. superb @realradikaa what an endearing performance."
About Vishwanath And Sons
Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Vishwanath And Sons is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and presented by Srikara Studios. The film has music by G V Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Nimish Ravi, editing by Navin Nooli and production design by Banglan.
The film stars Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, alongside Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon and others.
The story revolves around Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya), an Olympic shooting gold medallist who becomes a billionaire businessman but remains unmarried at 40. He later returns from the US with a baby boy born through surrogacy. When the child needs a bone marrow transplant, Sanjay tracks down the surrogate mother and brings her to India.
Speaking to fans at the film's pre-release event, Suriya said, “You called Sivakumar and two sons (Suriya and Karthi) the adopted sons of Telugu states. You’ve given so much love to Surya S/o Krishnan (2008). And now Vishwanath & Sons, I hope it receives the same love. I really, really want all your love and support. Thank you so much for this love.”
Before Vishwanath And Sons, Suriya was seen in Karuppu. Helmed by RJ Balaji, the fantasy action drama received a positive response and emerged as a box-office success, collecting ₹310 crore worldwide.
Vishwanath And Sons has released alongside Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947 and Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2, leading to competition at the box office in Hindi belt. It remains to be seen whether Suriya's latest film will match the success of Karuppu.
