Television actor Gaurav Khanna’s stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 ended on a painful note. The actor, who took on several tough stunts during his time on Rohit Shetty’s show, was eliminated after hurting his elbow during an elimination task. The injury left him in considerable pain and he could not complete the stunt. The elimination task saw Gaurav compete against Shagun Sharma and Rubina Dilaik.

What happened during the elimination stunt?
The stunt required the contestants to jump between two narrow bridges, with one of them rotating, while collecting flags of different colours. The bridges were placed high above the water, and there was no safety harness involved. Shagun was the first to take on the challenge and managed to collect six flags, while Rubina picked up five. Gaurav started his attempt confidently but lost his footing and fell into the water. As he tried to climb back up the ladder, he hurt his elbow and was left in too much pain to continue.
Rohit Shetty later revealed that Gaurav was already dealing with tennis elbow, which got aggravated during the stunt. With the injury preventing him from completing the task, Gaurav was forced to bow out of the competition.
Gaurav got emotional while saying goodbye to the show. Before leaving, he also named Farrhana Bhatt, Harsh Gujral and Orry aka Orhan Awatramani as the three contestants he had bonded with the most during his time on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.
Internet reacts
Fans on X were quick to praise Gaurav Khanna after his elimination. One user wrote, "The way Rohit Shetty trusted him speaks volumes about his determination 💯🔥. This man has a heart of gold...no hard feelings for anyone & that's how #GauravKhanna finished his journey with his head held high."
Another fan shared, “Elimination doesn’t erase impact. Gaurav Khanna walked out with kindness as his armor and sportsman spirit as his legacy. The show lost a player, but we gained a reminder: decency is the ultimate power move.”
A third user praised Gaurav for not backing down despite his injury, writing, “Injured elbow. Uncertain performance. But Gaurav Khanna still chose to face the challenge and give it EVERYTHING. ❤️🔥Love or hate but you cannot debate that GK played well🫶.”
Gaurav has faced injuries before
Gaurav had already endured his share of pain on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. Earlier in the season, he shared pictures of the bruises and marks left on his back after a pellet gun stunt. Recalling the experience, he wrote: “I could still feel this pain watching it on TV. Most painful experience ever. All four of us went through this guys... still have these marks”
The stunt, part of the show's “pain auction”, involved contestants taking hits from rubber pellets while the distance between them and the firing point was gradually reduced. However, Banijay Asia CEO Deepak Dhar defended the show's approach and told HT, “It's, not at all brutal. Well, there is an element of fear. It's called fear factor for a reason… but this is a show that is in its 15th or the 16th season now. We don't do this in India. We do this in an international location where all the checks and balances and safety procedures and protocols are followed to the absolute maximum.”
What's next for Gaurav Khanna?
Gaurav may have exited Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, but there’s plenty waiting for him next. The actor is set to return to fiction with an upcoming Star Plus show and is reportedly reuniting with producer Ekta Kapoor. He will be leading a romance family drama with Shraddha Arya.
