The cooking reality show Master Chef Tamil is all set to air from August 7 on Sun TV, it was announced on Thursday via a statement. The show, which will mark the television debut of Vijay Sethupathi as its host, will air as one hour episodes every Saturday and Sunday.

In the latest promo of the show, Vijay Sethupathi is joined by Tamannaah Bhatia, who will be hosting the show in Telugu.

In the promo, Tamannaah Bhatia can be seen wearing a sparkly, golden sequin gown, standing out exquisitely among the crowd. She then proceeds to ask Vijay Sethupathi a famous line from his movie “Are you okay baby?” to which he replies “Konjam tension ah irukku baby” (I'm a little nervous baby). Tamannaah can then be seen reassuring him saying “Nee kalakku baby”, asking him to “go and rock it!” as he prepares to host the show.

Vijay Sethupathi, meanwhile, is busy with multiple projects in his kitty. He’s currently shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram, which also stars Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles.

He awaits the release of Netflix’s upcoming Tamil anthology Navarasa, in which he worked alongside veteran actor Revathi in Bejoy Nambiar’s short titled Ethiri.

Vijay will soon begin work on a Hindi project with Sriram Raghavan. This yet-untitled film will also star Katrina Kaif.

She will reprise Tabu’s role from the original. In a statement, Tamannaah said she is thrilled to take up a role with negative shades. The rest of the cast will be finalised and announced soon.
