At the Emmy Awards ceremony, the make-up took a turn towards the classic, with smoky eye and bright lips.
Anna Paquin, Kyra Sedgwick and Christina Hendricks, among others, wore the smoky eye look. There were occasional dustings of gold on the smoky eyes, to give it a more glam than goth feel.
