Ajay Maken's assets soar
Congress leader Ajay Maken, who filed his nomination for New Delhi Lok Sabha seat on Friday, has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 3.44 crore and his wife has assets of Rs 76 lakh, an increase from what they were five years ago.
Congress leader Ajay Maken, who filed his nomination for New Delhi Lok Sabha seat on Friday, has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 3.44 crore and his wife has assets of Rs 76 lakh, an increase from what they were five years ago.
As per the affidavit, Maken has Rs 100,000 in cash while his wife Radhika has Rs 50,000 cash with her.
Maken's total assets were worth Rs 2.43 crore in 2004 while his wife had assets of Rs 62 lakh then.
The Union Minister of State for Urban Development has deposits totalling Rs 40 lakh in various banks, financial institutions and non-banking financial companies while his wife has a total deposit of nearly Rs 16 lakh.
The Congress leader has invested Rs 31.02 lakh (at cost price) in bonds, debentures and shares of companies while his wife has bonds, debentures and shares worth Rs 74,500. Maken's three children have Rs 66 lakh deposited in their names.
Maken owns a Maruti Vitara car worth Rs 10 lakh while his wife owns a Maruti Swift worth Rs 6.36 lakh.
