A boy was mauled to death by a leopard, while five others were injured in a bear attack in Kashmir, police said today.

"Ishtiyaq Ahmad Famda, a minor, was attacked by a leopard at Shelnagh in Dooru area of Anantnag district," a police spokesman said.

The boy succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, he said.

In an another incident, five persons including a woman were injured when they were attacked by a bear in Basant Wader area of Budgam district, the spokesman said.
