Known for her versatility, Sunidhi has always been in the limelight for churning out hits one after the other. From her latest number in Dhoom 2 to Beedi Jalai Le from Omkara, her songs have people dancing to her tunes.
“I’m bad at predicting which song will be a chartbuster and which won’t. When I sang for Dhoom, I had no idea Dhoom Macha Le would become an anthem,” says the young singer whose gift got noticed in the talent hunt Meri Awaaz Suno.
Ask her about the recent talent shows and she says, “A platform to showcase your talent is important but the winners should realise that there is a long way to go and should stay grounded.” Having sung over 2000 songs and performed all over the world, it is no surprise that she has a strong fan following. However, when it comes to a crazy fan, she does have one.
“I have this fan in Nairobi who knows everything about me. He has the CDs of all my songs. He’s downloaded some of my rare songs that I sung but the films never got released,” she says with a smile.
And why shouldn’t she? After all, she is working with some of the biggest banners in the coming year. Dhoom 2, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Kabul Express, Tara Rum Pum and RGV’s Sholay were just a few of the many films that she could remember.
Besides, she is soon planning to start work on her next album. Stage shows, films, album and dance classes! Way to go girl!
