Gujarati School, DC in quarters

GUJARATI SCHOOL and Daly College won their respective matches in the third Gurudev Gupta memorial Under-14 cricket tournament organised by Delhi Public School played at their grounds today and have sailed into the last eight.

GUJARATI SCHOOL and Daly College won their respective matches in the third Gurudev Gupta memorial Under-14 cricket tournament organised by Delhi Public School played at their grounds today and have sailed into the last eight.

In the first match, Advance Academy won the toss and put Gujarati School into bat first. Taking advantage of this, Gujarati School openers made merry of the Advance Academy attack and scored a huge total of 188 in 20 overs.

Abhiraj Dave swung his bat to score a hurricane 144 with 28 boundaries. In reply Advance Academy were bundled out for 61 in 18.1 overs. Rishabh bowled brilliantly to capture five wickets and helped his team to win by 127 runs to sail into the last eight. In the same way Daly College sailed into the last eight.

In the other match played on Sunday, Kendriya Vidyalaya shocked New Digamber Public School by 73 runs to sail into the last eight. Aditya Desai batted well to score a brilliant 56 to win the Man of the Match award.
