After immolating herself, the victim told the police on Wednesday that the accused, Balu Renge, threatened to kill her, if she disclosed the matter to anyone.

Scared of the mental trauma and the fear of being killed by the accused, she poured kerosene on her body and set herself on fire.

She was raped on Tuesday in Jamb village of the district and her satement is recorded the tehsildar of the region, Ramdas Kolghane.
