Musharraf may see India-Pak match

The Pak HC in India has made a "protective" booking for Musharraf in a Chandigarh hotel, reports said.

President Perveez Musharraf may visit Mohali to see the first cricket Test between Pakistan and India, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The Pakistani High Commission in India has made a "protective" booking for Musharraf in a Chandigarh hotel for March 8, the day the Test begins, in anticipation of his possible visit, the Daily Times reported.

The report noted that Musharraf had said that he would be happy to watch one of the matches if invited by the Indian government.

"Although there is no official invitation yet, Aziz Ahmed Khan, the Pakistani high commissioner, has decided to book tickets in advance," the report said.

The report said that if Musharraf does not go to Mohali, he might want to see the second Test at Kolkata starting March 16 or the one-day international in New Delhi scheduled April 17.
