NCRMU seeks contractor?s arrest

NCRMU branch secretary RN Banerjee stated that hundreds of Railway employees assembled here under the leadership of NCRMU branch president Samiullah and demanded immediate arrest of the accused and cancellation of his licence.

Mukhtar Ahmed, DK Singh, SM Yadav and Shitla Prasad Srivastva demanded strict action against the accused. They said that NCRMU would stage a chakka jam if the authorities failed to do so.

NCRMU Allahabad station branch secretary SN Thakur, loco branch secretary JP Yadav, rail electrification branch secretary Radha Raman Mishra, NCR branch one secretary Deepak Verma and mechanical engineering branch secretary Indrapal threatened to intensify the agitation if the culprit was not arrested within 48 hours.

They said that the inspector general of police (IG) had responded positively to their request. The members decided to serve a memorandum to the SSP and the DRM in support of their demands. They said the union would extend the agitation throughout the division if the culprit was not arrested and punished. Those present on the occasion included Ramnath, Santosh Sharma, KB Patel, Rajesh Tiwari, MB Singh, Arun Srivastva, BD Pandey, Sayed Ahmed, SN Nizami, Narendra Singh, Brahma Nand, RN Yadav, andRajeev Singh.
