Two Hizb terrorists killed in encounter

Local police's retaliatory firing kills two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists in Srinagar on Friday.

Two terrorists belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit were killed in police encounter in Pulwama district on Friday, officials said in Srinagar.

Acting on a specific tip-off, local police and troops of 55 Rashtria Rifles conducted a search operation in Ratnipora, 40 kms from Srinagar, on Friday morning to flush out terrorists hiding in a house, they said.

As the security forces zeroed in, terrorists hiding there opened fire at the search party, they said. They also said that in the retaliatory firing two terrorists were killed.

The deceased terrorists were identified as Bilal Ahmad Ganai of Ratnipora and Hilal Ahmad Bhat of Yelhar village.
