According to an official release, General Manager, District Industries Centre will be the nodal officer and responsible for ensuring that registration of land for such units was completed promptly by involving the sub registrar of the stamp and registration department.

Earlier, the entrepreneur or investor had to send their application for such exemption through a chain of officials. Even after this was complete, the District Magistrate took months in getting the property registered and this often proved deterrent for entrepreneurs.

This cumbersome process was time consuming and was working as a cause for delay in implementation of projects, the release said.
