Resident doctors resume duties in Rajasthan
About 1,300 resident doctors in Rajasthan, who were on strike since last week pressing for higher stipend, on Monday resumed duties after the state government assured them to look into their demands.

About 1,300 resident doctors in Rajasthan, who were on strike since last week pressing for higher stipend, on Monday resumed duties after the state government assured them to look into their demands.
"We had discussions with State Health Minister Aimaduddin Ahmad last night who assured us to consider our demands and asked to call off the strike," Dr Rajvendra Choudhary, general secretary of Joint Association of Resident Doctors, said in Jaipur.
About 1,300 resident doctors associated with different government hospitals in the state were on strike since last Saturday demanding hike in stipend.
According to these doctors, they were getting lesser stipend than their counterparts in neighbouring states like Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
