An online petition has been started to garner support for the conversion of Mahalaxmi Race Course into a public park. The petition, “Do not renew the RWITC lease” was started by a resident, Rajitha Gopinath.

An online petition has been started to garner support for the conversion of Mahalaxmi Race Course into a public park.
The petition, “Do not renew the RWITC lease” was started by a resident, Rajitha Gopinath.
“For 99 years, only a select few had the privilege to use this place, now let the gates be open to all. Develop a public park that will be a green lung for the city that is struggling to breathe. This will be more than a lifeline,” read the petition written to the chief minister of Maharashtra.
