Mumbai-Pune train travel time cut by 30 minutes

According to the Central Railway (CR), the duration of the journey from Friday has reduced from three hours and 10-20 minutes to two hours and 35-40 minutes.

BMC may put up 100-year-old tram close to Flora Fountain

Damage that wasn’t controlled: Mumbai civic body expert points at corrosion at bridge that collapsed

The bottom layer of the Himalaya Bridge near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus was corroded, which may have led to the collapse, according to Jaswant Arlekar, a structural consultant empanelled by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), who inspected the bridge on Friday.

Mumbai’s iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to be restored to its past glory

The original colour of the ceiling was white and the colour of the sculptures was gold. Hence, the railways decided to paint them in their original colour. A portion of the glass-painted ceiling has been replaced with Burma teak wood, and painted white.
