20 booked for assaulting cops in protest against liquor shop in Pataudi

Police in Gurugram have charged 20 residents of Bhora Kalan village in Pataudi for blocking the Pataudi-Bilaspur Road and attacking police when they tried to intervene. Villagers have been protesting against a local liquor store, which opened on 12 June. They claim that drunken men who purchase alcohol from the store cause disruption and are abusive to local residents. The police have identified the suspects and said that they will be arrested soon.

Delhi liquor shops within 100 metres from UP border closed for 2 days

The decision has been taken due to polling in the first phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. These shops will be closed again on the day of the counting of votes on March 10, according to a notice issue by the Excise Commissioner of Delhi.
