Oracle and Walmart Inc. together could end up with as much as 20% of the entity, to be called TikTok Global, purchased in a round of financing that would precede an initial public offering, TikTok said.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said earlier in the day that the Trump administration received a proposal from Oracle over the weekend to make Chinese-owned short video app TikTok a U.S.-headquartered company and will review the plan this week.
Oracle confirmed its submission, saying the company “is part of the proposal by ByteDance to the Treasury Department over the weekend in which Oracle will serve as the trusted technology provider.”(Bloomberg)
