The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 1100 vacancies of Patwari. Out of which, 473 vacancies are for general category, 176 for BCA, 121 for BCB, 110 for EWS, and 220 for SC.

Naib-tehsildar, patwari among 5 booked for tampering with records, selling ex-serviceman’s land

Five people, including a former naib-tehsildar and patwari, have been booked for allegedly tampering with revenue record and selling the land of an ex-serviceman in Chhajpur village, Panipat . The accused are naib-tehsildar Ram Chander, Bapoli Tehsil deputy joint registration officer Intezaar, Chhajpur Khurd halka patwari Mai Chand and Vikas Kumar and Subham Arora of Panipat.

Patwari held taking bribe in Tarn Taran

The vigilance bureau on Thursday arrested a patwari while accepting a bribe of ₹2500 from a farmer in Dhunda village of Khadoor Sahib subdivision in Tarn Taran district. Accused Manmohan Singh was posted in the revenue circle of Dhunda. Senior superintendent of police (SSP), vigilance bureau, Amritsar, Parampal Singh said, “Complainant Dilbagh Singh, a resident of Dhunda, had alleged that the patwari had demanded money for mutation of 1 kanal land which he and his brother had purchased from Chanchal Singh, a resident of same village, on July 30.

Police booked a patwari of the Ludhiana revenue department and his accomplice for altering government records to grab a piece of land in Salem Tabri here on Friday. The patwari was identified as Baljit Singh, and his accomplice as Joginder Singh, both residents of Indra Nagar.

Family of injured driver of patwari ‘relieved’

Virender Kumar, the driver of murdered patwari, heaved a sigh of relief on hearing the news of Bhanwar Singh’s death.
