Koramangala bakery faces brutal backlash over rude replies to customers on Instagram: ‘Poor. Bad vocabulary’
The bakery in Koramangala, Bengaluru, is being slammed for crossing the thin line between being edgy and being disrespectful.
A popular bakery in Bengaluru’s Koramangala has found itself at the centre of a social media firestorm after a series of controversial interactions with customers. The establishment is now facing widespread online criticism for its response to feedback on its social media posts.

Many claimed that the bakery was attempting to mimic the viral "sassy" personas of global brands like Ryanair or Duolingo but missed the mark entirely. Instead of clever banter, the responses were described as "downright crass," "rude," and "unprofessional."

In several instances, the Bengaluru bakery’s social media handle resorted to personal insults and mocking tones when customers raised legitimate concerns about pricing or food quality.
“Utterly disgusting behaviour,” an individual wrote on Reddit and attached a series of screenshots showing some of the comments by the bakery.

The controversy reached a boiling point when a customer criticised the bakery’s "High Tea" service, calling it "overhyped" and complaining about a ₹2,000 table charge. The bakery’s response took a sharp turn into personal territory.
A social media user wrote, “Worst experience had to pay ₹2000 for a table ? So overhyped.”
The eatery responded, “The above experience is 16k, bet you can’t afford that either.” The OP retorted by sharing, “I don’t see any crowd outside that dodgy building waiting to have this so called 16k experience! Stop being cocky online.”
The eatery replied, “Well we can’t expect a poor person to understand how an exclusive experience is all about catering the niche and not a crowd.”
In another instance, a social media user wrote, “Is that why you have so many amazing comments online? You mend your dirty and cheap mindset before even you fool yourself telling you have a niche crowd. Your class isn't measured by your imagination rather it's in the reality! Wake up fools! I'd say what class actually means but you'd never get it. Your class is already reflected in the way you reply to the comments online, don't bother trying to look cool.” The bakery said, “Bad math. Poor. Bad vocabulary. Bye.”
Online critics are drawing sharp comparisons to brands like Ryanair and Duolingo, which are famous for their "unhinged" social media personas. However, the internet is quick to point out that the Bengaluru bakery is attacking the person rather than the situation by calling customers "poor" or mocking their "vocabulary”.
