Rob, host of the kids TV show M.A.D, talks about life before televisiontv Updated: Nov 06, 2009 18:21 IST
He’s famous as the host of the host of the POGO show M.A.D. (Music, Art & Dance). But Harun Robert aka Rob wasn’t always the “artist” he’s popular as now. In fact, Rob, who has a degree in Fine Arts from the Delhi College of Arts, confesses to having been a science student in school. “In school, I was a science student preparing for my medical examinations. So art was a big switch for me,” he says.
Ask him if his parents were shocked and pat comes the reply, “They were. But ultimately, they were encouraging. My dad said he’ll be upset only if I wasn’t the best at what I did.”
His college experience, he says, was fantastic. But it wasn’t the usual stuff that kept him occupied. “I had no time for dating. I used to attend college, and, in the evening, I used to work for experience.”
He further shares the experience of meeting the cast of Harry Potter: “Those guys are so humble and down-to-earth. We discussed the whole process of filmmaking, and how they deal with their popularity.”
