Covid flash: India records drop in daily count, 46,500+ new cases in 24 hours

India has reported 46,617 fresh covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Active caseload declined to 5,09,637 which constitutes 1.67% of total cases. A total of 34 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far. India has registered 59,384 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The daily recoveries outnumbered daily new cases for the 50th consecutive day. The Covid recovery rate increased to 97.01%. Testing capacity has also been ramped up, a total of 41.42 crore tests were conducted.
