India to get its own hypersonic missile; BrahMos Aerospace sets 6-yr deadline

India will be able to have its first hypersonic missile in 5-6 years, said BrahMos Aerospace CEO Atul Rane. He was speaking at an event over the commencement of 'Silver Jubilee Year' celebration to mark the journey of the successful military partnership programme. "BrahMos Aerospace is capable of making hypersonic missiles. In five to six years, we will be able to have our first hypersonic missile by BrahMos,” said Rane. BrahMos Aerospace was formed as a joint venture between DRDO and NPO Mashinostroyenia of Russia. Watch the full video for more.
