Bag of meat seized by cops, sent for forensic analysis
Ghaziabad police seized a bag of meat from two minors who were disposing it in the Hindon River, following the mayor's intervention. The madrasa teacher is detained.
Ghaziabad The Ghaziabad police on Sunday seized a bag packed with meat after the mayor spotted two minors throwing it into the Hindon River in Indirapuram.
Abhishek Srivastava, ACP, Indirapuram, said, “The meat was recovered and sent for forensic analysis. The madrasa teacher has been detained for questioning.” (Representational image)
A senior police officer said, “On Sunday around 12:30pm, when Ghaziabad mayor Sunita Dayal was travelling towards Indirapuram via the Hindon Barrage route, she spotted two minors on a bicycle about to dump something into the Hindon River. When the mayor questioned them, they said the bag contained garbage.”
“When they were stopped and asked about their whereabouts, they revealed that they studied at a madrasa in Kanavani and that their teacher had asked them to dispose of meat that had been stored in the madrasa’s refrigerator for several days.”
