Arrest of Jamui accused Nandan Yadav brings father's 2003 murder case to light; police arrest him

Police on Wednesday arrested Ganauri Yadav, the father of Nandan Yadav, the main accused in the molestation and assault of a minor girl in Bihar's Jamui.
Officers aware of the development said Yadav was an accused in the 2003 murder of two brothers in Pratappur village and had been on the run ever since.

So far, five people have been arrested in connection with the molestation case, which came to light on Monday after a video surfaced online. The crime took place on the outskirts of Jamui town on September 19.
Meanwhile, members of the RJD’s women’s wing on Wednesday staged a protest march in Patna against the Jamui incident, claiming that crimes against women were on the rise in Bihar.
Protesters also burnt an effigy of Bihar chief minister Samrat Choudhary.
