2 trains cancelled

Railways on Thursday cancelled two trains and rescheduled four as foggy conditions and poor visibility in parts of North India and in the national capital led to late arrival of several trains here.

Railways on Thursday cancelled two trains and rescheduled four as foggy conditions and poor visibility in parts of North India and in the national capital led to late arrival of several trains here.

Over two dozen trains arrived late here with the delays ranging from three to 21 hours, a spokesperson of Northern Railway said. Trains like Orissa Samparkkranti Express and Seemanchal Express arrived 21 hours behind schedule, he said. Owing to the late running of trains, services of Delhi- Panipat special train in both the directions had to be cancelled, the spokesperson said.

The timings of Delhi-Howrah Janata Express, Nizamuddin- Jabalpur Mahakaushal Express, Anand Vihar-Jammu Tawi special train and Delhi-Malda Town Farakka Express were also rescheduled.
