“I didn’t say Modi is not communal. I had said I can’t say … as I don’t have any evidence,” Hazare told reporters after he returned to the capital from his tour of Madhya Pradesh as part of his ‘Jantantra Yatra’ .

“I never praised him (Modi). He is leading a party (BJP) which is communal so that makes him communal too,” he said and added, “Modi, who heads BJP’s election campaign panel, never condemned the post-Godhra riots in harsh words.”
