The Noida Authority has banned cycle-rickshaws on main roads from October 1.

“Shared autorickshaws were proposed to be banned as well. But its date of implementation has been postponed as an alternate mode of transport system — Metro feeder buses — are still not be available, Superintendent of police (traffic) Ajay Sahdev said. “Till these feeder buses start, shared autos will be allowed to operate,” he said.
Cycle-rickshaws will be allowed to operate only inside the sectors, he said, adding that no roadside vendors will be allowed on these main roads.
Residents doubt its implementation. “Earlier too, rickshaws were banned. But the ban had to be lifted due to protests, said Nanda Bhatti, a resident of Sector 22.
