Sources told HT City that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev who checked into ITC Maurya on Tuesday was welcomed with a fusion of traditional Russian music and the desi charm of hostesses dressed as Indian brides. While the hotel officials remained tightlipped about the arrangements citing security reasons, a source mentioned that a special menu has been planned for the Prez with dishes made from organic ingredients like

seed. Medvedev, who’s not accompanied by his wife, is likely to relish Indian cuisine at the iconic restaurants Bukhara and Dum Pukht at the hotel.

Interestingly, in addition to the major Indian dailies, the President and his delegation will be specially provided with Russian newspapers every morning. Talk about staying in touch with their land!!
